La importancia del tema se debe al masivo interés político que ha presentado la ciudadanía en los últimos años. El mayor ejemplo de este despertar político fueron las marchas en contra del Gobierno de Manuel Merino de Lama que se suscitaron entre el 10 y 15 de noviembre de 2020 en el Perú. Asimismo, vale resaltar que Twitter fue la red escogida para la presente investigación, debido a su naturaleza política y su capacidad de compartir información de manera instantánea, en la que, inclusive, muchos hashtags relacionados a las marchas fueron tendencia durante los días que duraron las manifestaciones. Por ese motivo, se analizarán y revisarán algunos de los tweets emitidos durante esas fechas, lo cual será fundamental para comprender el impacto que ha tenido Twitter en dichas movilizaciones sociales.

The importance of the topic is due to the massive political interest that citizens have presented in recent years. The greatest example of this political awakening was the marches against the Government of Manuel Merino de Lama that took place between November 10 and 15, 2020 in Peru. Likewise, it is worth noting that Twitter was the network chosen for this investigation, due to its political nature and its ability to share information instantly, in which even many hashtags related to the marches were a trend during the days that the demonstrations lasted.
