description Nuestro país viene teniendo un creciente incremento en el turismo receptivo. Tenemos como pocos países una variedad de productos ecoturísticos que ofrecer al mundo y la demanda de los mismos crea oportunidades comerciales y laborales en cada región, según sus potencialidades. Las regiones tienen en su competencia -acorde con lo establecido por MINCETUR- la elaboración del inventario turístico de su jurisdicción -entre ellos el ecoturístico- jerarquizando las zonas de desarrollo turístico prioritario, en coherencia con la zonificación ecológica y económica de la región, considerando además a las áreas naturales protegidas. Similar competencia le alcanza a los municipios, acorde con la ley orgánica de municipalidades, la ley general de turismo y su reglamento para participar en la identificación de recursos turísticos en acción coordinada con el gobierno regional.
