El objetivo del proyecto fue determinar la eficiencia de una mezcla formulada de aceites esenciales de geraniol, farnesol, citronerol, nerolidol y otros aceites comerciales en el control de Olygonichus punicae y sus diferentes estados de desarrollo en palto variedad Hass. En laboratorio, la unidad experimental fue una hoja de palto variedad Hass, donde se investigó la eficiencia de los aceites en agua con diferente potencial de hidrogeno (pH) obteniendo una mayor efectividad del producto con pH acido, se evaluó la efectividad sobre los estados de huevos alcanzado un control del 54 % a los 12 días después de la aplicación, en ninfas y adultos se obtuvo una mortalidad superior al 80 % a las 2 horas. El ensayo en campo consistió en la evaluación de la efectividad de los aceites esenciales en infestaciones naturales de la arañita marrón en 80 árboles evaluados a las 4 horas, 24 horas y 48 horas después de las aspersiones foliares no encontrando diferencias significativas entre los tratamientos con mortalidades superiores al 73 % en las 3 evaluaciones.

The objective of the project was to determine the efficiency of a formulated mixture of essential oils of geraniol, farnesol, citronerol, nerolidol and other commercial oils in the control of Olygonichus punicae and its different stages of development in avocado trees of the Hass variety. In the laboratory, the experimental unit was a Hass avocado leaf, where the efficiency of the oils was investigated in water with different hydrogen potentials (pH), obtaining a greater effectiveness of the product with acid pH. The effectiveness on the egg stages was evaluated, reaching a control of 54% 12 days after application, and in nymphs and adults a mortality of more than 80% was obtained after 2 hours.
