En la actualidad, el país cuenta con 12 centros educativos especializados en la enseñanza integral para personas con deficiencias visuales, sin embargo, su capacidad cubre un pequeño porcentaje de la demanda existente y ninguno de estos centros se encuentra en Nuevo Chimbote. Por lo tanto, la propuesta arquitectónica surge como respuesta a una de las problemáticas más significativas a nivel nacional e internacional, la creación de un Centro de educación básica especial para invidentes y deficientes visuales; como objetivo el promover la integración de sus usuarios y proporcionarles los conocimientos necesarios para su desarrollo integral: físico, intelectual, personal, social y profesional. However, in Peru, there is limited focus on education for people with different abilities. This study centers on visually impaired individuals in the district of Nuevo Chimbote, who currently lack access to a specialized educational center and are placed in regular schools. These schools lack accessible spaces, exposing their vulnerabilities and often leading them to abandon their studies. Currently, the country has 12 specialized educational centers focused on comprehensive teaching for people with visual impairments; however, they meet only a small portion of the demand, and none of these centers are located in Nuevo Chimbote. Therefore, this architectural proposal arises in response to one of the most significant issues at both national and international levels: the creation of a Special Basic Education Center for the blind and visually impaired.
