description El presente trabajo de investigación denominado “Medida legal a implementar frente a la contaminación ambiental generada por residuos sólidos en la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo”, tiene como objetivo general determinar como la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo garantiza el derecho a gozar de un ambiente equilibrado y adecuado al desarrollo de la vida de los ciudadanos señalado en el artículo 2 inciso 22 de la Constitución Política del Perú frente a la contaminación generada por residuos sólidos, para tal fin, se realizó un análisis doctrinario y normativo sobre el tema de residuos sólidos y se estableció los alcances del derecho a gozar de un ambiente equilibrado y adecuado al desarrollo de la vida. Con la investigación realizada se pretende garantizar el derecho a gozar de un ambiente equilibrado y adecuado al desarrollo de la vida de los pobladores de la ciudad de Trujillo debido a que la contaminación ambiental generada por residuos sólidos afecta directamente este derecho, los demás derechos conexos y el ambiente mismo, esto en vista que el Servicio de Gestión Ambiental de Trujillo – SEGAT, no viene cumpliendo a cabalidad con la gestión integral de residuos sólidos; por ello se propone la creación e implementación de una Gerencia del Ambiente en la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo que garantice el derecho a gozar de un ambiente equilibrado y adecuado al desarrollo de la vida tal como lo contempla la Constitución Política del Perú.
