El presente estudio tendrá como propósito determinar el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud del Cirujano Dentista en el manejo del paciente portador de VIH/SIDA en la ciudad de Trujillo, 2017. El estudio observacional descriptivo de acuerdo al diseño de contrastación, incluirá un total de 145 Cirujanos Dentista según los criterios de inclusión. Se utilizó el Coeficiente de Kruder-Richardson para la variable conocimientos y preguntas cerradas tipo Likert y anónima. Los datos fueron analizados en la cual se obtuvieron 87 Cirujanos Dentistas tienen actitud adecuada (60%) y 58 Cirujanos Dentista obtuvieron actitud inadecuada (40%). Según edad se observo que al parecer conforme aumenta la edad el porcentaje de Cirujanos Dentista con actitud adecuada disminuye, según género encontramos que el sexo masculino en su mayoría presentan una actitud adecuada que los de sexo femenino, los cirujanos que tienen mayor tiempo de ejercicio profesional muestran una actitud adecuada en su mayoría que los que tienen menos de 5 años en la profesión y según centro de trabajo mostraron que los cirujanos dentistas de sector privado tienen actitud adecuada 59.0% y los que trabajan en ambas (privada y publica) tienen actitud adecuada 65.2 %. Se pudo observar que los Cirujanos Dentistas tienen actitud adecuada en el manejo del paciente portador de VIH/SIDA. Según el nivel de conocimiento se encontró que el 50.0% tiene un regular nivel de Conocimiento. |

The observational study according to the design of contrast included a total of 145 Dental Surgeons as inclusion criteria. It used a survey of 12 closed questions, Likert and anonymous. The data were analyzed which were obtained 87 Dentists have the right attitude (60%) and 58 Dental Surgeons were inappropriate attitude (40%). By age was observed apparently as age increases the percentage of Dental Surgeons with the right attitude decreases, by gender found that males mostly have a proper attitude to the female, the surgeons who have more years of professional show a proper attitude for the most part those who have less than 5 years in the profession and according to workplace showed that dentists in private sector were 59.0% right attitude and working in both (private and public) have the right attitude 65.2%.
