Asimismo, el modelo econométrico utilizado para comprobar la hipótesis fue de Vector de Corrección de Errores (VEC) con el cual se estimó la relación de largo plazo de las variables. Dentro de los principales resultados se encontró que i) En años recientes, las exportaciones de La Libertad se ha diversificado hacia productos no tradicionales, especialmente agrícolas como espárragos, uvas, paltas y arándanos, con principales destinos en China, Estados Unidos y Europa; ii) el desempeño la economía de la Libertad estuvo condicionada en mayor por factores externos que intensificaron auges y recesiones y iii) en el largo plazo, si el IHH para productos aumenta en 1%, entonces el PBI real aumenta en 0.10%; por otro lado, si el IHH para mercado destino aumenta en 1%, entonces el PBI real disminuye en 0.13%.. Finalmente, los hallazgos de esta investigación permiten concluir que la diversificación en los mercados de destino tuvo un efecto positivo en el crecimiento, mientras que la diversificación en productos mostró un efecto negativo.

The work had a quantitative approach, explanatory scope and longitudinal non-experimental design. The sample consisted of the quarterly series of the indicators Real GDP, Hirschman- Herfindahl Index (HHI) for products and HHI for markets during the period 2005- 2023. Likewise, the econometric model used to test the hypothesis was Vector Error Correction (VEC) with which the long-term relationship of the variables was estimated. Among the main results it was found that i) In recent years, La Libertad's exports have diversified towards non-traditional products, especially agricultural products such as asparagus, grapes, avocados and blueberries, with main destinations in China, the United States and Europe; ii) the performance of the economy of La Libertad was conditioned to a greater extent by external factors that intensified increases and recessions and iii) in the long term, if the HHI for products increases by 1%, then the real GDP increases by 0.10%; on the other hand, if the HHI for destination markets increases by 1%, then the real GDP decreases by 0.13%.
