El Centro Juvenil de la ciudad de Trujillo – La Libertad tiene un hacinamiento de 46%, siendo uno de los Centros a nivel nacional con mayor índice de sobrepoblación después del Centro Juvenil de Lima. El Centro Juvenil de Trujillo no tiene la posibilidad de ampliación en su infraestructura esto debido a su limitado terreno, presentándose la necesidad de mejorar la situación de albergue y tratamiento, con un nuevo proyecto dedicado a la infraestructura penitenciaria juvenil, con tratamientos integrales que permitan tener las condiciones adecuadas que contribuyan a una mejor rehabilitación del adolescente infractor. El proyecto tiene una capacidad de 240 adolescentes, divididos reglamentariamente en 5 módulos programáticos para su correcto funcionamiento de control. Además, cuenta con otras zonas que complementan el tratamiento integral del adolescente infractor, dando soporte a las funciones de gestión y administración con las nuevas tendencias de control y seguridad.

The Trujillo-La Libertad Juvenile Center is 46% overcrowded, making it one of the centers with the highest rate of overcrowding nationwide, after the Lima Juvenile Center. The Trujillo Juvenile Center lacks the capacity for expansion due to its limited land area. There is a need to improve the housing and treatment situation with a new project dedicated to juvenile prison infrastructure, providing comprehensive treatment options that allow for adequate conditions that contribute to the improved rehabilitation of adolescent offenders. The project has a capacity for 240 adolescents, divided by regulation into five program modules for proper monitoring.
