Se consideró como muestra representativa a los trabajadores de la Municipalidad Distrital de Chocope, conformada por un total de 24 trabajadores administrativos, para analizar la comunicación interna existente en la institución. Asimismo, se consideró como muestra representativa para determinar la imagen que perciben los usuarios, a las personas entre las edades de 15 a 64 años, a partir del cual se estableció una muestra de 363 personas. Los resultados de la investigación han permitido analizar la comunicación interna de la Municipalidad y determinar la imagen que perciben los usuarios de la misma, con el fin de elaborar una propuesta para mejorar la comunicación interna y que incida en la imagen de la institución de manera favorable. De ésta manera se ha logrado determinar que el nivel de comunicación interna existente es regular, porque no existe un alto grado de identificación y pertenencia de los miembros, ni cooperación entre el personal y la comunicación es ineficiente. Esto genera un servicio deficiente a los usuarios, quienes al observar el comportamiento del personal y experimentar el servicio que brindan, perciben una imagen negativa de la Municipalidad.

It was used the descriptive correlational design, using the survey technique and two types of questionnaires for data collection, which were validated by the application of Cronbach's alpha coefficient. It was considered as representative sample the employees of the District Municipality of Chocope, consisting of a total of 24 administrative employees to analyze the existing internal communication. It was also considered as a representative sample for the perceived image by users, people between the ages of 15 to 64, from which was established a sample of 363 people. The research results have allowed to analyze the internal communication of the Municipality and determine the perceived image by the users thereof, with the purpose of develop a proposal to improve internal communication and affects favorably the image of the institution. In this way it has been determined that the level of internal communication is regular, because there is not a high degree of identification and belonging by the employees, or cooperation among staff, the communication is inefficient.
