La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre la innovación y el emprendimiento académico en las universidades privadas de Trujillo en el año 2024, con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño no experimental de corte transversal correlacional simple. El instrumento que se utilizó fue el cuestionario adaptado de López (2015) y Terán (2020) para la variable innovación y emprendimiento académico respectivamente, los mismos que fueron validados por juicio de expertos en la materia y, a través de la V de Aiken, cuyos resultados fueron de 0,84 y 0.83 respectivamente los cuales fueron favorables para la investigación por ser menor a 1. Para evaluar la confiabilidad se usó el coeficiente ω de McDonald, obteniendo un valor de 0.978 para el instrumento de innovación y 0.937 para el emprendimiento académico; la población fue de 80,987 de estudiantes de las universidades privadas licencias de Trujillo, tales como, Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, Universidad César Vallejo, Universidad Privada del Norte y Universidad Católica de Trujillo, aplicando el muestreo probabilístico estratificado se obtuvo a 382 estudiantes. El análisis de la información se realizó mediante el software Jamovi 2.3.28, mediante el cual se realizó la estadística descriptiva e inferencial para determinar la relación entre la innovación y el emprendimiento académico, y se comprobó estadísticamente que existe una relación altamente significativa (p<0.001) entre la innovación y el emprendimiento académico analizado a través del coeficiente de Pearson y una moderada relación entre las variables (0.429). Finalmente se detalla la discusión de estos hallazgos, de donde se derivan las conclusiones, recomendaciones finales y las implicancias teóricas y prácticas del estudio. |

The instrument used was a questionnaire adapted from López (2015) and Terán (2020) for the variables of innovation and academic entrepreneurship, respectively. These instruments were validated through expert judgment in the field and using Aiken's V, with results of 0.84 and 0.83, respectively, which were favorable for the research as they were less than 1. To assess reliability, the McDonald's ω coefficient was used, yielding a value of 0.978 for the innovation instrument and 0.937 for academic entrepreneurship. The population consisted of 80,987 students from licensed private universities in Trujillo, such as the Antenor Orrego Private University, César Vallejo University, the Private University of the North, and the Catholic University of Trujillo. Using stratified probability sampling, 382 students were selected. Data analysis was performed using Jamovi 2.3.28 software, which was used for both descriptive and inferential statistics to determine the relationship between innovation and academic entrepreneurship. Statistically, a highly significant relationship (p<0.001) was confirmed between innovation and academic entrepreneurship, as analyzed through the Pearson coefficient, showing a moderate relationship between the variables (0.429).
