El objetivo fundamental de la presente investigación fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre higiene oral en alumnos de la Institución Educativa Parroquial Santa Teresita de Jesús, Casa Grande 2020. Material y método: La presente investigación, fue de tipo descriptiva, observacio nal y de corte transversal. Asimismo, el presente estudio estuvo conformado por 91 alumnos (ambos géneros), de nivel secundario, aplicándose un cuestionario virtual (12 preguntas) sobre higiene oral, para ello se obtuvo de un estudio previo pro puesto por Mego (2015)26 , con una validez alta. Resultados: Se determinó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre higiene oral en los alumnos fue bueno en un 49,5%, mientras que en un nivel regular fue 34.06%. Según el género el nivel de conocimiento fue bueno para el sexo femenino y mas culino presentando un porcentaje equivalente de (24,18) en gran proporción. En cuanto al nivel secundario los alumnos que presentaron un nivel de conocimiento bueno fueron los de 3 °,4° y 5° (15,40%,13,2% y 16,48%) Se usó la prueba esta dística de Chi-Cuadrado. Conclusiones: Existe un nivel de conocimiento bueno sobre higiene oral en alum nos de la Institución Educativa Parroquial Santa Teresita de Jesús, Casa Grande, de esta manera, el nivel de conocimiento según género fue bueno para el sexo masculino y femenino; finalmente el nivel de conocimiento según grado en el nivel secundario fue bueno para los alumnos del tercer, cuarto y quinto grado. |

Material and Method: This research was descritive, observational and cross_sec tional.Likewise , the present study was made up of 91 students (both genders) , of secondary level, applying virtual questionnaire (12 questions) on oral higiene, for this it was obtained from a previous study proposed by Mego (2015) 26, with high validity. Results: It was determined that the level of knowledge about oral higiene in the students was Good in 49,5%, while at a regular level it was 34,06%. According to gender, the level of knowledge was Good for the female and male sex, presenting an equivalent percentage of (24,18) in a large proportion. Regarding the secondary level, the students who presented a Good level of knowledge were those of 3rd , 4th and 5th (15,40%, 13,2% and 16,48%) . The statistical test was uses Chi-Square.
