El nivel de conocimiento fue evaluado empleando una encuesta, previamente validada por Juicio de expertos obteniendo un grado de Concordancia de 97.50%. Se empleó la prueba no paramétrica de independencia de criterios, utilizando la distribución Chi cuadrado (X 5%. 2 ) con un nivel de significancia del Los resultados demostraron que el 40.6% del personal de tropa presentan el conocimiento malo, el 51.7% presentan un nivel de conocimiento regular y el 7.7% un nivel de conocimiento bueno. Con respecto al sexo y al grado militar se halló diferencia estadística significativa de 0.013 y 0.000 respectivamente. Se concluyó que el personal de tropa del servicio militar presenta un nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal Regular.

It was a prospective, transversal, descriptive and observational study, developed in the Ramón Zavala Barracks - 32nd Infantry Brigade and included 350 people from the troop of military service. The level of knowledge was evaluated using a survey previously validated by Expert Judgment obtaining a degree of Concordance of 97.50%. The nonparametric - criterion independence test, using the Chi square distribution (X2 ) with a level of significance of 5%. The results showed that 40.6% of the troop personnel have a bad level of knowledge, 51.7% have a regular level of knowledge, and only 7.7% have a good level of knowledge. With respect to sex and military grade, a statistically significant difference of 0.013 and 0.000 was found, respectively.
