Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre dientes supernumerarios y apiñamiento en pacientes de 6 a 18 años, Trujillo, 2014-2023. Método: La presente investigación fue observacional, de corte transversal, comparativo, retrospectivo y retrolectivo. Se realizó la evaluación de las radiografías panorámicas de la base de datos de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, entre las edades de 6 a 18 años, donde se evaluó la relación de los dientes supernumerarios con apiñamiento dental. Tipo de muestreo: Probabilístico, aleatorio simple. Resultados: Se evaluó 317 radiografías panorámicas encontrándose que existe relación entre dientes supernumerarios y apiñamiento en pacientes de 6 a 18 años, así mismo en edad y sexo. Se determinó que el 19% de pacientes presentan dientes supernumerarios junto con apiñamiento. Según su edad afecta mayormente a jóvenes de 13 a 18 años. Según el género fue mayor en mujeres con un 12%. Conclusiones: Existe relación entre dientes supernumerarios y apiñamiento en pacientes de 6 a 18 años, así mismo en edad y sexo. Trujillo, 2014-2023

Objective: Determine the relationship between supernumerary teeth and crowding in patients from 6 to 18 years old, Trujillo, 2014-2023. Method: This research was observational, cross sectional, comparative, retrospective and retrolective. The evaluation of panoramic radiographs from the database of the Antenor Orrego Private University was carried out, between the ages of 6 to 18 years, where the relationship of supernumerary teeth with dental crowding was evaluated. Sampling type: Probabilistic, simple random. Results: 317 panoramic radiographs were evaluated, finding that there is a relationship between supernumerary teeth and crowding in patients from 6 to 18 years old. It was determined that 19% of patients present supernumerary teeth along with crowding. Depending on their age, it mostly affects young people between 13 and 18 years old.
