Para determinar la relación entre ambas variables se utilizó la prueba Chi Cuadrado con un nivel de significancia de 0.05. Resultados: No se encontró relación entre el estrés y las LCNC (p=0.551 para eustrés y p=0.261 para distrés). Todos los pacientes sufrían cierto grado de estrés, resaltando el eustrés de tipo moderado con un 47.4% y el distrés alto en un 58.3%. El 74.4% presentó LCNC, resaltando el 42.9% de la población que presentó el grado 3 de desgaste dental. No se encontró relación de ambas variables según sexo y edad. Conclusiones: No hay relación entre el estrés y la presencia de LCNC. Todos los pacientes presentaron estrés y la mayor parte de la población presentó LCNC.

Material and method: Cross-sectional descriptive observational study in 156 adult patients who attended the dental service of the Luis Albrecht Hospital. To evaluate NCCL, the Smith and Knight Dental Wear Index was used, and to evaluate stress, the Global Perception of Stress Scale (EPGE-13) questionnaire was applied, establishing a degree of severity according to eustress and distress. To determine the relationship between both variables, the Chi Square test was used with a significance level of 0.05. Results: No relationship was found between stress and LCNC (p=0.551 for eustress and p=0.261 for distress). All patients suffered some degree of stress, with moderate eustress standing out in 47.4% and high distress in 58.3%. 74.4% presented LCNC, highlighting 42.9% of the population that presented grade 3 of dental wear. No relationship was found between both variables according to sex and age. Conclusions: There is no relationship between stress and the presence of LCNC.
