En la actualidad, la agitación en pacientes críticos sometidos a destete de ventilación mecánica (VM) es aún un desafío en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI), ya que conlleva a prolongar la estancia y el periodo de ventilación asistida, así como aumentar el riesgo de complicaciones; por lo que, el presente estudio, busca comparar los tratamientos administrados en estos casos y comparar su efectividad, los fármacos a estudiar serán la dexmedetomidina y el haloperidol y su impacto en pacientes críticos de un hospital de Chiclayo en 2024. Se presenta un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, analítico de cohorte retrospectiva, que evaluará las historias clínicas (HC) de pacientes que recibieron estos fármacos; luego se analizarán variables como el nivel de agitación y sedación (Escala RASS), cambios hemodinámicos, tiempo de respuesta y extubación; para luego procesar los datos en un software estadístico, aplicando pruebas estadísticas como t de Student, U de Mann-Whitney, Chi-cuadrado. Los resultados permitirán identificar el tratamiento más eficaz para optimizar el destete ventilatorio y reducir complicaciones. Además, el estudio cumplirá con normativas éticas, asegurando confidencialidad y aprobación del hospital. Finalmente, su impacto contribuirá a mejorar la gestión hospitalaria y la calidad del cuidado en UCI. |
