Para evaluar la relación entre la longitud de la base craneal anterior y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la clase esquelética en sujetos de 11 a 30 años de edad se utilizó el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman con un nivel de significancia del 5%. Resultados: No se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en relación entre la longitud de la base craneal anterior y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la clase esquelética (p > 0.05). Así mismo, no mostraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas según sexo y edad (p > 0.05). Se encontró diferencia estadísticamente significativa (p < 0.001) al relacionar la longitud de la base craneal anterior y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular. No se mostró diferencia estadísticamente significativa en la relación entre la longitud de la base craneal anterior y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la clase esquelética, considerando ésta como variable cuantitativa (p > 0.05). Conclusión: No existe relación entre la longitud de la base craneal anterior y la longitud del cuerpo mandibular con la clase esquelética en sujetos de 11 a 30 años de edad.

Materials and Methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational study was developed at Digital Dent radiology center and used 129 cephalometric analysis chosen at non-probabilistic for convenience way. The variables analyzed were the anterior cranial base length, the mandibular body length, skeletal class, age, sex. To evaluate the relationship between the anterior cranial base length and the mandibular body length with skeletal class in 11-30 years old subjects, the simple Spearman correlation coefficient was used, with a level of significance of 5%. Results: No statistically significant differences were found in the relationship between the anterior cranial base length and the mandibular body length with the skeletal class (p> 0.05). Likewise, there were no statistically differences between according sex and age (p> 0.05). A statistically significant difference (p> 0.05) was found when relating the anterior cranial base length and the mandibular body length. There was no statistically significant difference in the relationship between the anterior cranial base length and the mandibular body length with the skeletal class, having this as a quantitative variable (p> 0.05).
