Nuestro objetivo fue determinar los factores asociados para el miedo al caer en pacientes con glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto del Instituto Regional de Oftalmología. Materiales y métodos: Nuestro estudio es de tipo transversal analítico, donde los pacientes con glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto fueron encuestados por FES-I para medir el miedo al caer y para la valoración de actividad física a través de IPAQ, donde se contó con un total de 94 pacientes, estos pacientes fueron evaluados en consultorio externo del Instituto Regional de Oftalmología durante noviembre del 2023. Resultados: Este estudio incluyó un total de 94 pacientes con diagnóstico de glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto, que fueron atendidos en consulta externa del Instituto Regional de Oftalmología, donde se evidenció que la edad fue la única variables asociada con un (p 0.003) a miedo al caer, mientras que el sexo, la alteración visual periférica, los antecedentes patológicos, las caídas previas, la depresión, la polifarmacia y la actividad física no tuvieron asociación significativa, con un (p 0.099), (p 0.112), (p 0.814), (p 0.052), (p 0.331), (p 0.234) y (p 0.054), respectivamente. Conclusiones: La edad es un factor asociado a miedo al caer, mientras que el sexo, la alteración visual periférica, los antecedentes patológicos, las caídas previas, la depresión, la polifarmacia y la actividad física no son factores asociados al miedo al caer en pacientes con glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto. |

Materials and methods: Our study is a cross-sectional analytical study, where patients with primary open-angle glaucoma were surveyed by FES-I to measure fear of falling and for the assessment of physical activity through IPAQ, where there were a total of 94 patients. , these patients were evaluated in the outpatient clinic of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology during November 2023..
