Se realizó la prueba de Chi2 para determinar la asociación entre la frecuencia de F. hepatica con las variables: lugar de procedencia, sexo y año de evaluación. Así mismo, se realizó una regresión logística binaria para evaluar el nivel de riesgo de las variables. Los resultados demuestran una prevalencia de 21.3% (9 852/46 252) de animales afectados. Asi mismo, a lo largo de los años se demostró una prevalencia de 29.6 %, en el 2017 y 7.4% en el 2021, el mismo que se le atribuye al cierre temporal del matadero por aumento de casos de Covid-19; según la procedencia provincial, Cajamarca con el 30.5% y Santiago de Chuco, el 25.1%; el 22.5% y 20.1% en machos y en hembras, respectivamente. Además, los machos presentaron un riesgo mayor que las hembras; Cajamarca reportó el mayor riesgo, en el año 2018 se registró un menor riesgo, disminuyendo considerablemente en el 2021. En conclusión, en función a los años 2017 al 2023 se ha observado una prevalencia media de la fascioliasis hepática, y en la práctica, esta información es útil para brindar estrategias de prevención y control específicas en el ganado bovino en las áreas identificadas como de alto riesgo.

Information was collected from 46,252 cattle slaughtered between January 2017 and October 2023. The Chi2 test was performed to determine the association between the frequency of F. hepatica with the variables: place of origin, sex and year of evaluation. Likewise, a binary logistic regression was performed to evaluate the risk level of the variables. The results show a prevalence of 21.3% (9,852/46,252) of affected animals. Likewise, over the years a prevalence of 29.6% was shown, in 2017 and 7.4% in 2021, which is attributed to the temporary closure of the slaughterhouse due to an increase in Covid-19 cases; According to the provincial origin, Cajamarca with 30.5% and Santiago de Chuco, 25.1%; 22.5% and 20.1% in males and females, respectively.
