Actualmente, existe un edificio que alberga ésta función, sin embargo, no cuenta con los espacios ni las condiciones apropiadas para exhibir, almacenar y restaurar el patrimonio local, encontrándose desbordados en su capacidad ante el reciente incremento de las colecciones; consecuentemente, muchos ambientes han sido anulados, adaptados e improvisados y no cuentan con los requerimientos básicos de funcionalidad, seguridad y confort para el desarrollo de éstas funciones, por ello se realizó una investigación descriptiva dando como resultado la propuesta de un proyecto factible ya que se encuentra contemplado en el Plan Maestro de Conservación y Manejo del Complejo Arqueológico Chan Chan y tiene como finalidad ampliar y mejorar la infraestructura y servicios del Museo, logrando brindar espacios acondicionados y apropiadas para la investigación y exhibición de las colecciones. Se trabajó en colaboración con las autoridades pertinentes para garantizar los objetivos, la calidad y la funcionalidad del proyecto

Currently, there is a building that houses this function, however, it does not have the space or the appropriate conditions to exhibit, store and restore the local heritage, being overwhelmed in its capacity in the face of the recent increase in collections; Consequently, many environments have been cancelled, adapted and improvised and do not have the basic requirements of functionality, safety and comfort for the development of these functions, therefore a descriptive investigation was carried out resulting in the proposal of a feasible project since it is contemplated in the Master Plan for Conservation and Management of the Chan Chan Archaeological Complex and aims to expand and improve the infrastructure and services of the Museum, providing conditioned and appropriate spaces for research and exhibition of the collections.
