description La presente investigación, hace un estudio sobre la necesidad de tener un hotel ecolodge en el circuito ecológico Alto Shilcayo, ubicado a 15 min de la ciudad de Tarapoto. En el planteamiento del problema de la investigación, se llegó a la conclusión que se necesita un nuevo establecimiento de hospedaje con el fin de fortalecer la capacidad hotelera del circuito ecoturístico ‘’Alto Shilcayo’’, teniendo de este modo como objetivo principal el diseño de un ecolodge para fortalecer la capacidad hotelera en el Circuito Ecoturístico Alto Shilcayo-Tarapoto. Dentro de las bases teóricas se analizó el sector turismo a nivel global, nacional y local, así mismo se analizó la idiosincrasia del turista y su acción en la selva peruana, ello con el fin de saber cuáles son las necesidades del turista y diseñar espacios acorde a estas necesidades. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo aplicativo, debido a que se describe una problemática y se aplicara los cambios propuestos en la presente tesis, la población muestral los turistas del sector Alto Shilcayo, los datos se verán en los siguientes ítems. Finalmente se concluye que es necesario la edificación de un ecolodge respetando el medio ambiente, utilizando materiales de la zona y que la edificación sea parte de entorno, no imponiendo su arquitectura, por el contrario, adaptándose al entorno.

In the approach to the research problem, it was concluded that a new lodging establishment is needed in order to strengthen the hotel capacity of the "Alto Shilcayo" ecotourism circuit, having as main objective the design of an ecolodge to strengthen hotel capacity in the Alto Shilcayo-Tarapoto Ecotourism Circuit. Within the theoretical bases analyzed the tourism sector at global, national and local level, and analyzed the idiosyncrasy of the tourist and its action in the Peruvian jungle, in order to know what the tourist needs and design spaces accordingly to these needs. The type of research is descriptive application, because it describes a problem and will apply the changes proposed in this thesis, the sample population is the city of Tarapoto, the data will be seen in the following items.
