La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 84 pacientes con cirrosis descompensada según criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos, distribuidos en dos grupos: con y sin daño renal agudo. Resultados: La frecuencia de mortalidad en los pacientes con y sin daño renal agudo fue de 41% y 20% respectivamente. El riesgo relativo de daño renal agudo en relación a mortalidad intrahospitalaria fue de 2.12 (p<0.05).
