Sumario:ABSTRACT This research paper demonstrates that the use of the Edmodo virtual platform significantly optimizes the curricular planning of the Teachers Communication Area of the Alexander Graham Bell Educational Institution, Trujillo district, year 2018. The research was developed under the quantitative approach and the research design was experimental with two groups, one of control and the other experimental, with application of pretest and posttest. For this, there was a population of 12 teachers in the Communication Area divided into two samples of 6 teachers each, to form the experimental group and the control group, respectively. For the diagnosis of the problem, a knowledge test on curriculum planning in the Communication Area was applied as an instrument, applied before and after the curriculum planning workshop through the use of the Edmodo virtual platform, for eight monitored sessions. Finally, applying the Mann-Whitney U test yielded a calculated p-value of 0,003, which is lower than the expected p-value of 0,05. This allowed us to conclude that, finding significant differences between the results of the pretest and the posttest, the use of the Edmodo virtual platform significantly optimized the curricular planning in the area of Communication by teachers of the Alexander Graham Bell Educational Institution, district of Trujillo, year 2018.
