The present study entitled "Analysis of the execution of the public budget by function of the District Municipality of Belén, period 2017-2021”, aims to determine the level of execution presented by public budget by function of the aforementioned municipality for the established period. In addition, the study was of a quantitative type and non-experimental descriptive design – cross-sectional. Finally, from the analysis and discussion of the results obtained, it was possible to determine that the public budget by function presents an average level of execution for the study period.La ejecución del presupuesto público, constituye aquel proceso mediante el cual, se dispone de los recursos públicos necesarios para atender las diferentes necesidades que han sido programadas en un periodo determinado, con la finalidad de poder alcanzar los objetivos y metas que fueron trazadas para su cumplimiento. El presente estudio titulado “Análisis de la ejecución del presupuesto público por función de la Municipalidad Distrital de Belén, periodo 2017-2021”, tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de ejecución que presenta el presupuesto público por función de la citada municipalidad para el periodo establecido. Además, el estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo y diseño descriptivo no experimental – transversal.
