Sumario: | The urban and peri-urban area of the city of Iquitos is home to a considerable diversity of bird species, some of them little known and others that are adapting to the resources that the anthropic environment provides them. The inadequate management of green areas, added to other anthropogenic and climatic factors, would be having a negative impact on the composition and abundance of the avifauna, for which reason the present investigation sought to know the influence of anthropogenic and climatic factors on biodiversity and populations. of birds in the city of Iquitos. To this end, four areas of the city were sampled using the point-count technique, which allowed a total of 51,603 individuals distributed among 18 orders, 40 families and 125 species to be recorded, with the species Coragyps atratus, Brotogeris versicolorus and Columba livia being the ones that They had more sightings. Likewise, it was shown that a higher tree cover and relative humidity positively influence the diversity of bird species in the city; while high levels of environmental temperature, mainly, and high noise levels, negatively affect the diversity of bird species in the city of Iquitos. Finally, the Green Areas, Open Areas and River Banks are the areas with the greatest diversity of birds in the city of Iquitos. |
