Sumario:Evaluate the level of environmental awareness in 5th grade students. secondary school at 60080 Ramón Castilla during the 2023 school year was the purpose of the study; for this purpose, quantitative-descriptive methodology was used and 117 students participated; As a result, the students presented an average level of environmental awareness of 63%, exceeding more than 50% in the statistical results. The evaluation concludes that strategies need to be improved in the planning and execution of environmental education in the area of social sciences and other areas related to active citizenship to raise the level of environmental awareness in secondary education students. Regarding the affective dimension, it is also at a medium level with 67.3%, the cognitive part is at a medium level with 55.5%, the conative indicator is at a medium level with 65.5% and regarding the active area was found to be at a medium level with 60.5%. It is required that training institutions improve the capacity for emotional expression, information management, pro-environmental disposition and the adoption of behaviors that improve environmental lifestyles at home, school and in the community.
