Departamento Académico de Recursos HídricosEl agua subterránea es un recurso natural muy valioso ya que es un componente esencial del ciclo hidrológico, usado directamente desde los acuíferos en las regiones secas como es el caso de la costa del Perú. En este sentido en la presente investigación con el fin de evaluar el comportamiento de los parámetros hidrogeoquímicos asociados a la calidad del agua subterránea se realizó el estudio de la variabilidad en el espacio y el tiempo de los parámetros físico-químicos para los usos de riego y doméstico, considerando un periodo de análisis de enero del 2001 a diciembre del 2013, en el valle de Lurín. Para determinar la calidad del agua subterránea, se analizaron 97 pozos en época seca y 93 en húmeda, obteniendo que el 70 por ciento de los pozos de estudio presentan agua del tipo bicarbonatada cálcica (HCO3− - Ca) y el 30 por ciento como sulfatada cálcica (SO42− - Ca). La calidad del agua subterránea en la época húmeda, para fines de uso doméstico, en los distritos de Cieneguilla y Pachacámac se encuentra dentro de los rangos de los estándares de calidad de agua, a diferencia del distrito de Lurín donde es considerada de media a baja. Con respecto a los fines de uso de riego en casi todo el valle la calidad del agua subterránea es buena. En la época seca, para fines de uso doméstico, se obtuvo resultados similares que en la época húmeda; es decir, la calidad del agua es buena en Cieneguilla y Pachacámac y regular a baja en Lurín; con respecto a los fines de uso de riego se obtuvo que es de moderada a baja, debido posiblemente al uso de fertilizantes en los campos de cultivo los cuales se infiltran con el agua de riego.Groundwater is a very valuable natural resource since it is an essential component of the hydrological cycle, used directly from aquifers in dry regions such as the coast of Peru. In this sense, in the present investigation, in order to evaluate the behavior of the hydrogeochemical parameters associated with groundwater quality, a study was made of the variability in space and time of physical-chemical parameters for irrigation and Domestic, considering a period of analysis from January 2001 to December 2013, in the Lurín Valley.
