Departamento Académico de Economía y PlanificaciónDada la importancia de la calidad educativa, debe estudiarse la viabilidad económica de sistemas alternativos que la impulsen. Por ello, el objetivo fue evaluar la rentabilidad de la acreditación de un colegio tradicional, lograda en el año 2021, al programa de Bachillerato Internacional (IB), de 6 cursos eje y 3 cursos transversales o troncales, reforzados con el inglés como segundo idioma que integra mejor al egresado al mundo que uno del sistema tradicional. Se empleó datos dados por la administración del colegio. Se consideró una tasa de crecimiento conservadora del alumnado de 10% anual establecida por el departamento de Marketing a partir de evidencias de la tasa de crecimiento para colegios IB en el mismo segmento comercial y reforzada por la publicidad y promoción, con aumento anual de la pensión del 10% hasta llegar al promedio de pensiones de colegios IB del segmento en el que el colegio Virgen Inmaculada de Monterrico competirá, con la meta de largo plazo de cubrir la capacidad máxima de 28 alumnos por aula, duplicando la cifra actual. Se muestra el análisis FODA (fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas) antes y después de la acreditación, que orientó sobre las estrategias institucionales para el crecimiento de la institución. Se preparó flujos de efectivo mensuales para cada año, desde el 2019 hasta el 2026 con y sin el proyecto Bachillerato internacional, para luego confeccionar los flujos de caja en los 2 escenarios mencionados y finalmente analizar el flujo incremental. El VAN (Valor actual neto) para el flujo incremental fue de 84 112 soles y la TIR (Tasa Interna de Retorno) arrojó un valor de 53%. Se recomienda evaluar la incorporación a esta comunidad de otros colegios del distrito de Surco.Given the importance of educational quality, the economic viability of alternative systems that promote it should be studied. Monthly cash flows were prepared for each year, from 2019 to 2026 with and without the International Baccalaureate project, to then prepare the cash flows in the 2 scenarios mentioned and finally analyze the incremental flow. The NPV (Net Present Value) for the incremental flow was 89,954 soles and the IRR (Internal Rate of Return) showed a value of 53%.
