Departamento Académico de Producción AnimalEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de la inclusión de harina de algas (Chlorella vulgaris) en el alimento de cerdos en la etapa de lactación y recría, sobre el rendimiento productivo de los cerdos, medido a través de la ganancia diaria de peso, consumo de alimento, conversión alimenticia, disturbios gastroentéricos, retribución económica del alimento y morfometría intestinal (altura de vellosidades, profundidad de cripta y relación AV:PC). La metodología fue experimental, se emplearon 110 lechones provenientes de un cruce materno L/Y, con un peso vivo al nacimiento promedio de 1.49 kg, los cuales fueron distribuidos al azar en dos tratamientos con cinco repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron: T1, dieta sin inclusión de harina de algas; T2, Dieta con inclusión de 0.5 por ciento de harina de algas. Los datos fueron sometidos a un análisis de varianza bajo un Diseño de Bloques Completamente al Azar. El peso vivo, ganancia diaria de peso, consumo diario de alimento, conversión alimenticia y disturbios gastroentéricos no mostraron diferencias estadísticas significativas (P>0.05) entre los tratamientos en todos los periodos de evaluación. Respecto a la morfometría intestinal, solo se encontraron diferencias estadísticas significativas (P<0.05) en la altura de vellosidad, siento el T1 quién presentó un mayor valor (600.26 vs. 520.05µm). Bajo las condiciones en las cuales se realizó el experimento con la inclusión de harina de algas en el alimento de lechones no se obtuvieron resultados favorables.The aim of the present study was the evaluation of the effect of the inclusion of algae meal (Chlorella vulgaris) in the feed of pigs in the lactation and nursery phase, on the performance of pigs, measured through daily weight gain. , feed intake, food conversion, gastroenteric disorders, economic retribution and intestinal morphometry (villus height, crypt depth and AV: CP ratio). The methodology was experimental, 110 piglets from a maternal L / Y cross were used, with an average live weight at birth of 1.49 kg, which were randomly distributed in two treatments with five repetitions. The treatments were: T1, diet without inclusion of algae meal; T2, Diet including 0.5 percent algae meal. The data were subjected to an analysis of variance under a Completely Random Block Design.
