Material y método: La investigación se desarrolló con un método hipotético-deductivo de enfoque cuantitativo, con un nivel básico, de tipo descriptiva correlacional y un diseño no experimental de corte transversal, asimismo la muestra fue 93 pacientes prequirúrgico del Hospital de San Francisco, Ayacucho. Se utilizó como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. Resultados: Se observa que un 38.7% de los pacientes prequirúrgicos perciben cuidado humanizado en un nivel regular. Por otro lado, el 34.4% lo percibe en un nivel bueno y el 26.9% en un nivel malo, asimismo se observó que un 49.5% de los pacientes prequirúrgicos presentó ansiedad en un nivel medio. Por otro lado, el 28.0% lo presenta en un nivel alto y el 22.6% en un nivel bajo. Finalmente se concluyó que existe una correlación negativa moderada entre el cuidado humanizado y la ansiedad del paciente prequirúrgico del Hospital de San Francisco, Ayacucho 2024.
