description La presente investigación se mide mediante una variable ,autoestima, la cual consta de diecinueve items y cuatro dimensiones, este trabajo de investigación se realizó en un centro de atención primaria ubicada en lima norte ,donde se llegó a determinar después de aplicar nuestro cuestionario a los pacientes del programa de tuberculosis , se pudo evidenciar que el nivel de autoestima en pacientes con tuberculosis pulmonar atendidos en un establecimiento de atención primaria , fue en su mayoría medio , en cuanto a la dimensión auto concepto fue en su mayoría nivel medio, con relación a su dimensión autoconocimiento el nivel fue medio, con respecto a la dimensión auto respeto el nivel fue medio, en relación con la dimensión autoevaluación también el nivel fue medio , por ello resulta importante evaluar todos factores implicados para tener un tratamiento exitoso. En ese sentido, conocer la autoestima y sus dimensiones aporta una información valiosa. Para los profesionales de enfermería abocados al manejo de pacientes con TBC, constituye una evidencia importante para ser aplicada en el manejo integral de los pacientes, donde no solo se enfocan en lo farmacológico sino que trasciende al campo humano del paciente y su familia.
