Materiales y métodos: se realizará mediante la revisión sistemática con un enfoque cualitativo, un diseño descriptivo, trasversal. Se realizó un registro detallado, utilizando las bases de datos (Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet plus, EBSCO host, Lilacs, Redalyc). Resultados: la síntesis temática de los 12 estudios identificó tres categorías: (1) La cúrcuma tiene efectividad como potencial terapéutico en artropatías, reportadas en 11 estudios, eficacia y seguridad (n=7); efecto analgésico y antiinflamatorio(n=10); (2) la falta de ensayos clínicos en humanos (n=2) falta de ensayos clínicos aleatorizados (n=1); (3) métodos de la evaluación de la escala del dolor y la inflamación. Mencionado en 7 estudios destacando el uso como medio de evaluación las puntuaciones de dolor de la escala visual analógica (EVA) y (WOMAC). (n=4); medición del PCR y la VSG para evaluar la inflamación (n=3). Conclusión: los hallazgos evidencian que la cúrcuma longa con su principal activo la curcumina, si tiene un gran potencial en el tratamiento de artropatías. Se analizó, identifico y se evaluó los diferentes hallazgos determinando que la cúrcuma es efectiva y podría ser un tratamiento alternativo o complementario en enfermedades articulares se podría considerar un enfoque de atención primaria efectiva, seguro con un mínimo de efectos adversos en relación con los fármacos convencionales. |

A detailed registry was compiled using the following databases (Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet plus, EBSCO host, Lilacs, Redalyc). Results: the thematic synthesis of the 12 studies identified three categories: (1) Curcumin has effectiveness as a therapeutic potential in arthropathies, reported in 11 studies, efficacy and safety (n=7); analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect (n=10); (2) lack of clinical trials in humans (n=2) lack of randomized clinical trials (n=1); (3) methods of pain and inflammation scale assessment. Mentioned in 7 studies highlighting the use as a means of assessment of pain scores from the visual analog scale (VAS) and (WOMAC). (n=4); measurement of CRP and ESR to assess inflammation (n=3). Conclusion: the findings show that Curcumin, its main active ingredient, has great potential in the treatment of joint diseases. The different findings were analyzed, identified, and evaluated, determining that turmeric is effective and could be an alternative or complementary treatment for joint diseases.
