description Materiales y métodos: el enfoque planteado en la presente investigación es de tipo cuantitativo y diseño correlacional transversal. La población está conformada por 18 trabajadores de nivel de jefatura o superior relacionados con las áreas de inventario, finanzas, contabilidad y gerencia general. La técnica utilizada es el cuestionario estructurado en escala de Likert conformado por 20 preguntas, además de un contraste con el análisis de los estados financieros de la empresa Grupo Pecuario SAC. Resultados: los principales resultados de la investigación demostraron que existe una correlación significativa y directa entre las variables de estudio (R=0.923, p<0.001), donde a mayor inventario respecto al activo corriente existe una reducción de la rentabilidad bajo R2 0.69. Conclusiones: el estudio concluye que el control de inventario influye de forma directa en la rentabilidad de la empresa Grupo Pecuario S.A.C.
