description Objetivo: identificar la ansiedad preoperatoria en pacientes programados para resección transuretral de próstata del servicio de Urología en el Hospital Carlos Alberto Seguin Escobedo, Arequipa 2025. Materiales y métodos: este proyecto de investigación es según su enfoque cuantitativo, mientras que el diseño es de tipo transversal y además descriptivo. La muestra fue obtenida según la programación para Resección Transuretral de Próstata trimestral promedio, la cual es de 64 pacientes, tomando la totalidad de pacientes atendidos durante el trimestre de octubre a diciembre 2025. Para hacer posible la medición de la variable por la que se realiza esta investigación se ha utilizado como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta, a través de la “Escala de Ansiedad Preoperatoria APAIS”, la cual cuenta con seis preguntas .Resultados: una vez que se hayan completado la obtención de datos, la información se analizará mediante el programa SPSS26, que nos permitirá obtener los resultados finales de la investigación para presentarlos detalladamente en diferentes tablas para su comprensión y lectura. Por último, se procederá a redactar los resultados finales de la investigación. Conclusiones: los hallazgos más relevantes constituirán una base científica sólida, proporcionando evidencia clave para realizar un diagnóstico preciso y, a partir de este, desarrollar soluciones efectivas que beneficien tanto a los pacientes como a los procedimientos quirúrgicos.

Materials and methods: this research project is quantitative in its approach, while the design is cross-sectional and descriptive. The sample was obtained according to the average quarterly schedule for Transurethral Resection of the Prostate, which is 64 patients, taking all patients attended during the quarter from October to December 2025. In order to make possible the measurement of the variable for which this research is carried out, the survey has been used as a data collection technique, through the “APAIS Preoperative Anxiety Scale”, which has six questions. Results: once the data collection has been completed, the information will be analyzed by means of the SPSS26 program, which will allow us to obtain the final results of the research to present them in detail in different tables for their understanding and reading. Finally, we will proceed to write up the final results of the research.
