El objetivo general es determinar el nivel de inteligencia emocional en los alumnos del colegio educativo particular Santa María de Breña. La muestra estuvo constituida por 122 adolescentes, entre varones y mujeres, en edades comprendidas entre 14 y 16 años. El materiaL que se ha utilizado fue el inventario ICE de Bar-On): Niños y adolescente (forma completa) adaptado por Ugarriza y Pajares (2003) y está compuesto por 60 ítems, dividido en los siguientes componentes: intrapersonal, interpersonal, manejo del estrés, adaptabilidad, estado de ánimo general e impresión positiva.
