description La investigación, tuvo como objetivo determinar la influencia del programa inteligencia emocional en competencias investigativas en docentes, el tipo de investigación fue aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo, el diseño es de tipo cuasi experimental en 20 docentes, aplicando un programa de inteligencia emocional con veinte actividades, utilizándose el cuestionario para medir las dimensiones de las competencias investigativas. Los resultados obtenidos indican que las competencias investigativas en los docentes en el grupo experimental aumento un 95% y el grupo control 23%, resultados obtenidos después de aplicar el programa inteligencia emocional (análisis descriptivo) por otra parte, el análisis inferencial, se considero la prueba de U de Mann- Whitney y la de Shapiro- Wilk, grupo experimental con un estadístico de 0.960 y el grupo control con 0.936 sig. 0.01y 0.00, se concluye que el programa inteligencia emocional tiene un efecto positivo en los docentes comparando el nivel inicial con el postes fue notable.
