description El objetivo. de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre el liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente de la Institución Educativa I.E. 5130 Pachacutec - Ventanilla 2013. Para lo cual, se elabora la pregunta general ¿cuál es la relación entre el liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente en la I.E. 5130 Pachacutec - Ventanilla? La metodología que se utilizó con el fin de comprobar la hipótesis fue en el enfoque cuantitativo, la investigación correspondió a un estudio de tipo básico, para su propósito se utilizó el diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y diseño descriptivo. La muestra fue censal conformado por 45 docentes, se utilizo como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario acerca del liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente en la I.E. 5130 Pachacutec - Ventanilla La investigación concluye demostrando que existe una relación positiva media y significativa entre el liderazgo transformacional y desempeño docente, en los docentes de la I.E. 5130 Pachacutec – Ventanilla. Esto se basa en los resultados obtenidos de la investigación, con un Rho=0.563 y un p=0.000.
