description La tesis tuvo como objetivo, determinar la relación del Control interno y las contrataciones públicas menores o iguales a 8 UIT en una municipalidad distrital de San Martín – 2024, siendo un estudio de tipo aplicada, de diseño no experimental, de corte transversal, correlacional, teniendo una población de 47 trabajadores municipales y la muestra conformada por 32 trabajadores, aplicando como instrumento un cuestionario, donde los resultados indican que el nivel del control interno es medio para un 59.38% de los encuestados, alto con 21.88% y bajo con 18.74; y para contrataciones públicas menores de 8 UIT, el nivel fue de medio con 50.0%, alto con 28.13% y bajo con 21.88%. Finalmente se concluye, el control interno se relaciona significativamente con las contrataciones públicas menores o iguales a 8 UIT en una municipalidad distrital de San Martín, 2024, donde el Rho de Spearman asume un valor de 0.863.
