description La presente investigación titulada servicio civil y gestión de recursos humanos en la municipalidad provincial de pisco, tuvo como objetivo analizar los cambios y consecuencias que traería la implementación del servicio civil en la gestión de recursos humanos de la Municipalidad Provincial de Pisco. Siendo la investigación de tipo básica - cualitativa. El diseño de la investigación fue exploratorio - fenomenológico, teniendo una muestra de ocho participantes realizándose una entrevista estructurada. Concluyéndose que en la actualidad la entidad edil no está aplicando una correcta gestión de recursos humanos, lo que trae consigo perjuicios para los trabajadores, la entidad y la ciudadanía; siendo que, la implementación del régimen del servicio civil sería la mejor solución a cada uno de los problemas que no solo ocurren actualmente, sino que ya vienen dándose desde hace muchos años atrás.
