Se utilizaron como instrumentos la escala de inteligencia emocional (TMMS-24) elaborado por Salovey y Mayer (1995) y adaptado por Fernández et al. (2004) y el cuestionario de agresión reactiva/proactiva (RPQ) de Raine et al. (2006) y adaptado por Andreu et al. (2009). Para la prueba de hipótesis general se utilizó los rangos de Spearman entre los principales y entre resultados se encontró una correlación estadísticamente significativa e inversa (rho=-531 y -571) y un tamaño de efecto grande (r2=.28 y .32) entre inteligencia emocional y agresión reactiva/proactiva.
