Se plantearon tres objetivos específicos orientados a analizar dicha influencia en relación con la calidad del servicio, la cobertura y disponibilidad, así como el costo y precio de este. El estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y nivel correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 51 funcionarios públicos del gobierno municipal y 127 asociados vinculados al servicio de agua potable. Los resultados mostraron que el 72.5% de los encuestados que perciben una gestión eficiente también consideran óptima la calidad del servicio; el 47.1% opina lo mismo sobre la cobertura y disponibilidad; y el 51% respecto al costo. El modelo estadístico confirmó una relación significativa entre gestión y percepción del servicio (p = 0.02), aunque con una capacidad explicativa moderada (Nagelkerke R² = 0.056). Se concluye que la gestión municipal influye de forma significativa en la percepción del servicio de agua potable, siendo necesario fortalecer los procesos administrativos, la planificación y la comunicación institucional.
