description La presente investigación tuvo como propósito establecer la relación entre las competencias investigativas y el pensamiento crítico en estudiantes universitarios. Para evaluar las variables se emplearon instrumentos validados mediante juicio de expertos. Por otro lado, tanto las competencias investigativas como el pensamiento crítico obtuvieron 0.936 y 0.941 respectivamente el valor de alfa de Cronbach. En relación a los resultados, se pudo conocer que un 60% y un 58,3% de estudiantes consideraron de alto el nivel de competencias investigativas y el nivel de pensamiento crítico. Además, los resultados inferenciales permitieron verificar la significancia menor a 0.05, lo que faculto establecer la relación entre la competencia investigativa y el pensamiento crítico.
