El dolor lumbar es hasta la actualidad la segunda patología más común en la consulta médica, entre el 70 y 85 % de las personas en algún momento de su vida lo presentó. Puede ir presentándose con mayor rigor de la misma manera en el personal asistencial, tanto en centros de salud o en el presente trabajo en el centro geriátrico Aranda. Metodología: el enfoque es cuantitativo al recolectar datos para la hipótesis y demostrar teorías de nivel descriptivo con una diseño simple y comparativo. De los resultados en el personal asistencial del centro geriátrico Aranda se entiende que el 54 % alcanza el nivel bueno dentro del rango de fuerza muscular, el 26 % alcanzó el nivel pobre; y el 8 % alcanzó vestigios ubicados en el nivel mínimo. el nivel de la funcionabilidad muscular glútea y el dolor lumbar según las variables de estudios con un nivel de correlación de p < 0,05 significando así que existe una relación positiva entre las variables. Estos resultados indican que la funcionalidad muscular glútea tiene relación con el dolor lumbar. Se podría realizar investigaciones adicionales para identificar otro factor a tener en cuenta a la hora de abordar el dolor lumbar como terapeutas físicos.
