Se desarrolló bajo los lineamientos de la metodología científica con un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, de tipo básica descriptiva y de nivel descriptiva correlacional. Se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado fue el cuestionario, se verificó que la población fue de 94756 ciudadanos y 40 turistas; en cuanto a la muestra se verificó 120 para los ciudadanos del distrito de Santiago y 40 turistas. Se llegó a la conclusión que si existe relación significativa entre la gestión municipal y la diversificación de la oferta turística en el distrito de Santiago Cusco durante el periodo 2019, esto comprobado con el coeficiente de Pearson cuyo valor fue de 0.93 lo cual muestra una correlación alta y positiva.
