Se evaluaron propiedades del suelo y calidad del aire, comparando niveles de gases contaminantes con el Índice de Calidad del Aire (INCA) y analizando el efecto de la temperatura sobre sus concentraciones. La investigación fue de tipo aplicada, descriptiva, no experimental y correlacional, realizada en un área de 34 ha, recolectando 24 muestras de suelo en 10 ha con residuos sólidos mediante un diseño en zigzag, junto con mediciones in situ de CO, H₂S, NO₂ y SO₂. Los resultados mostraron suelos con una composición granulométrica variable, lo que influye en la retención de agua y nutrientes. El análisis químico mostró que los suelos son ácidos (pH 4.81) además, detectó concentraciones variables de Cd, Pb y Fe, con mayor variabilidad espacial del Pb. En el aspecto microbiológico, se registró una media de 17,750 UFC de coliformes totales, evidenciando contaminación bacteriana significativa. En el aire, el CO alcanzó niveles moderados en ciertos periodos, mientras que el H₂S (0.027 ppm) superó el límite de la OMS (0.005 ppm), lo que indica una fuente persistente de emisión. La temperatura mostró impacto significativo en la concentración de H₂S, NO₂ y el SO₂, pero no de manera significativa en el CO.
