After 36 years of waiting, Peru's qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia unleashed a true soccer fever in the country. This led the Peruvian media to create a wide range of programs and content related to football, addressing match analysis, interviews with players and coaches, as well as coverage of news and events. However, journalistic coverage of women's football did not grow as much as expected, with few mentions in traditional and digital programs until now. The purpose of this research is to examine the content addressed about women's soccer in the main sports programs in Peru. Additionally, the objective is to generate a proposal for an exclusive sports space focused on women's soccer, with the purpose of promoting its dissemination and recognition in the country. Likewise, it seeks to highlight the poor working conditions, harassment and gender violence faced by female players, in addition to demystifying the stereotypes associated with this group.
