For this purpose, a specialized bibliographic review is carried out and complemented by contrasting it with the forestry reality in Peru. This shows that -from a forestry discipline perspective- forestry sciences consider that they do not have much to do with the issue of justice, which would correspond to other fields of knowledge. However, different types of justice are an integral part of their theory and practice when forests are understood as socio-ecosystems, a product of coupled systems that include forests, society and culture. The strongly anthropocentric conception of forestry science, which translates into public administration and forestry operations, makes ecological justice invisible. Other more human-related justice such as cognitive/epistemic justice or linguistic justice are absent.El presente artículo de reflexión trata de la relación entre las ciencias forestales y la justicia, con el propósito de enriquecer el marco teórico y operacional de las ciencias forestales y contribuir a una mejor relación entre la sociedad y sus bosques. Para el efecto, se realiza una revisión bibliográfica especializada y se complementa con la contrastación de la realidad forestal en el Perú. Se encuentra que, desde una perspectiva forestal disciplinaria, las ciencias forestales consideran que no tienen mucho que ver con el tema de las justicias ya que corresponderían a otros campos del saber; no obstante, desde el entendimiento de los bosques como socioecosistemas, producto de sistemas acoplados entre los bosques, la sociedad y la cultura, las diversas justicias forman parte consustancial de su teoría y práctica. La concepción fuertemente antropocéntrica de las ciencias forestales, que se traduce en la administración pública y en las operaciones forestales, provoca que se invisibilice la justicia ecológica.
