Bioethical and bio-legal analysis of the palliative care regulations in Peru

Given the current situation and based on the world context, a bioethical and bio-legal analysis of the regulations of palliative care in Peru is provided. It has been verified that, at the national level, there are initiatives related to the implementation of palliative care, and it is as of 2018 that Law 30846 is enacted: “Law that creates the National Plan of Palliative Care for Oncological Diseases and not Oncological ”; and the Technical Document: "National Plan of Palliative Care for Oncological and Non-Oncological Diseases in Peru 2021-2023"; However, both documents are insufficient for an effective approach to palliative care, the protection of the patient, and respect for their dignity in Peru.
