The son suffers from her progressive distancing, but ends up accepting it, since it is an inevitable separation derived from the son's independence. In that sense, her identity is conditioned by the tense experience of motherhood.El presente artículo analiza el poema «Casa de cuervos», de Blanca Varela, y se centra en el efecto que produce el vínculo entre la madre y el hijo en la voz lírica femenina en los planos físico (su cuerpo), afectivo y espiritual (su alma): la madre siente culpa por haber traído a su hijo a un mundo hostil, reconoce las similitudes entre él y ella, sufre por su progresivo distanciamiento, pero termina aceptándolo, ya que es una inevitable separación derivada de la independencia del hijo.
