That is why the proper use of language and the limits given to it allow to comply with the mission and the meaning that the legislator sought to give to the normative text at the time of its creation. That said, this article analyzes the legislative language used in the Code of Ethics of the Federal Public Administration, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of the norm in public servants. La redacción de los textos normativos nos da la pauta para el entendimiento y la aplicación de la norma. En ese sentido, la importancia de la amplitud en su interpretación podría implicar, en muchas ocasiones, un beneficio o un problema para los operadores jurídicos. Es por eso que el uso adecuado del lenguaje y los límites que se le dé permiten cumplir con la misión y el sentido que el legislador buscó darle al texto normativo al momento de su creación. Dicho esto, el presente artículo analiza el lenguaje legislativo empleado en el Código de Ética de la Administración Pública Federal, con el fin de evaluar la efectividad de la aplicación de la norma en los servidores públicos.
