A greater segregation was found in the group of students with fewer resources, in terms of private school; while for those with greater resources, segregation is greater in public schools, although this segregation is considerably less. In both groups there are important differences between departments.Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el aporte de las escuelas no estatales a la segregación escolar por nivel socioeconómico en el Perú y sus departamentos. Para ello, hace una explotación de los micro­datos de la Evaluación Censal de Estudiantes para 2.º de secundaria, de tal forma que se trabaja con 631 013 estudiantes de secundaria, distribuidos en 17 310 servicios educativos en los 25 departamentos. Se encontró una mayor segregación en el grupo de estudiantes de menores recursos, en cuanto a los servicios educativos no estatales; mientras que, para los de mayores recursos, la segregación es mayor en los servicios estatales, aunque esta segregación es considerablemente menor.
